The residents and staff at Blair House are always looking for ways in which they can support their local charities, this month they chose to support Children in Need.
After some consideration, residents decided they would like to raise money by having a PJ day. The staff all took part and together they had a cosy day, drinking hot chocolate whilst watching the Children in Need show.
We have a few keen bakers within Blair House who like to be creative with their cooking! Along with the rest of the nation we are of course Bake Off enthusiasts and one of our residents was feeling inspired so decided to bake her own show stopper. It was a magnificent castle, turrets and all, I am sure you will agree it looks fantastic and we are sure it tasted just as good.
Residents of Rivington Park Care Home, Chorley enjoyed a trip to Chorley Town Hall to watch the Skylarks Choir perform a number of their most loved dancing tunes from their youth.
The ladies and gentleman who attended the evening donned their best outfits ready to dance or bop the night away. The town hall was a hype of activity with a number of other local care homes being involved in the evening. This meant the residents had the opportunity to socialise and engage with many other people throughout the night, making new friends whilst talking about past times

“It is lovely to see the residents enjoy such an eventful evening, I know many of them were looking forward to the trip and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I love being able to provide our residents with the opportunity of meeting new people in a different environment.”
